6 Days Rongai Route– Kilimanjaro Trek

What to expect

The 6-day Rongai Route trek offers a scenic and less-crowded ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro, approaching Africa’s highest peak from the north, near the Kenyan border. Unlike other routes, Rongai provides drier conditions and passes through untouched wilderness, from pine forests and moorlands to rugged alpine desert. It is considered one of the easier routes due to its gradual incline, making it suitable for both experienced trekkers and first-time climbers.

Expect breathtaking views, diverse landscapes, and rewarding cultural encounters. Nights are spent in mountain tents under the stars, while days are filled with steady hikes guided by expert mountain crews. The highlight is reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895m—standing on the Roof of Africa—after a challenging but unforgettable summit push. This trek is ideal for adventurers seeking both tranquility and achievement in one of the world’s most iconic climbs.
